Guwahati: Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has been granted regular bail by a Hyderabad court in connection with a stampede at the premiere of his film Pushpa-2.

The tragic incident, which occurred on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre, resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and injuries to her eight-year-old son.

The II Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge issued the bail order on Friday after hearing arguments from both the actor’s legal team and the prosecution.

Allu Arjun has been instructed to provide two sureties, each executing a bond of Rs. 50,000, along with a personal bond for the same amount.

He is required to report to the investigating officer every Sunday between 10 am and 1 pm for two months or until the charge sheet is filed, whichever is earlier.

The court imposed several restrictions on the actor, emphasising that he must not interfere with the investigation or intimidate witnesses in any way.

Any attempt to influence the inquiry will result in legal consequences.

Arjun has also been prohibited from leaving India without prior court permission and must inform the court of any changes to his residential address until the case is resolved.

The actor, named as Accused No. 11 in the case, was initially arrested on December 13 and released on interim bail granted by the Telangana High Court on December 14.

The interim bail was set to expire on January 10.

Arjun had subsequently filed a regular bail petition and appeared before the court via video conference on December 27.

The stampede occurred as fans crowded the theatre, eager to catch a glimpse of the actor during the film’s premiere.

Following the incident, the city police filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The complaint was lodged by the family of the deceased woman.

The case has cast a shadow over the highly anticipated release of Pushpa-2.

While adhering to the court’s directives, Allu Arjun has committed to cooperating with the ongoing investigation as legal proceedings continue.
