Movie buffs eager to catch Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, will need to hold their anticipation a little longer.
The much-awaited film, initially slated for a September 2025 release, has now pushed its theatrical debut to October 2, 2025.
Interestingly, Varun and Janhvi Kapoor are set to reunite in ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ after their 2023 film ‘Bawaal‘. Their chemistry is expected to captivate both audiences and critics.
Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari‘ adopts the classic Bollywood formula, combining heartfelt family themes, romance, and poetic storytelling.
With a track record of hits like ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania‘ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, Khaitan’s distinctive style shines through the film’s promotional visuals.
The makers announced the change in the film’s release date on Monday(July 14), when they unveiled Varun’s character poster with the new release date printed on it.
Although the teaser stirs familiar emotions, the film’s impact will rely on how modern audiences connect with its nostalgic, old-world charm.
“Sunny Sanskari ki shaayari – Yeh aansoon hain mere, samundar ka jal nahin…Yeh aansoon hai mere, samundar ka jal nahin… Baarish ka kya bharosa, aaj hai…kal nahi!!! #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari in cinemas, 2nd October 2025,” a post read on the Instagram handle of Dharma Productions.
In the poster, Varun can be seen grinning and making a ‘namaste’ gesture.
The film boasts a strong supporting cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi, each playing pivotal roles.
