Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly sustained an injury while shooting for his upcoming film King, which also features his daughter Suhana Khan.
The incident is believed to have occurred during the filming of a high-octane action sequence at Golden Tobacco Studio in Mumbai.
Though details remain limited, industry sources suggest the actor suffered a muscular injury and has since flown to the United States for medical consultation.
“While the exact details of the injury are under wraps, Shah Rukh, along with his team, has travelled to the US for urgent medical attention. It’s not a critical issue, but more of a strain due to continuous stunt work over the years,” a source familiar with the matter revealed.
The actor has been advised to rest for about a month before resuming any physical activity related to filming.
As a result, all scheduled shoots for King—previously planned across locations including Film City, Golden Tobacco Studio, and YRF Studios through July and August—have been temporarily called off.
The next leg of production is now expected to commence in September or October, depending on Shah Rukh’s recovery timeline.
Neither Shah Rukh Khan nor his production team has made any official announcement regarding the incident at this time.
The movie was initially supposed to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
