IMPHAL: Actor Randeep Hooda and his would-be wife, Lin Laishram have sought divine intervention for peace in Manipur before tying the knot tomorrow in Imphal.
The actor, now fondly referred to as the would-be son-in-law of Manipur, graced two temples, Ipudhou Marjing Khubamlen and Shri Shri Govindajee, to offer prayers for tranquility in the region.
The Rang Rasiya actor expressed his heartfelt wish for the restoration of peace and normalcy in the “beautiful state of Manipur,” hoping that its residents could return to their lives as they were before.
“I was praying to the deities hoping that all the conflict in the state resolves, and people could go back to their beautiful lives,” Randeep told the press on Monday.
Today, the soon-to-be-married couple will explore the scenic Loktak Lake before extending their support to a relief camp in Moirang, Bishnupur.

The much-anticipated Meitei wedding is scheduled tomorrow at the Chumthang Shannapung in Langthabal Lep Makha Leikai, Imphal West, at a sports complex inaugurated by Chief Minister Biren Singh in February.
Adding to the excitement, Randeep’s parents are expected to land at the Imphal airport at 1 pm. The actor will be adorned in traditional Meitei attire as he takes vows with Lin, making their union a celebration of love and culture.
Before the wedding festivities, Randeep Hooda was busy with his latest project, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, where he is set to make his directorial debut, showcasing his skills as a screenplay and dialogue writer.
Lin, known for her roles in films like Mary Kom, Rangoon, and Jaane Jaan, has been a constant presence in Randeep’s life, with their relationship subtly hinted at through social media posts.
As the couple prepares to embark on this new chapter of their lives, the air in Imphal is filled with anticipation, prayers, and the promise of a joyous celebration that transcends borders and cultures.
