Rajkummar Rao-starrer ‘Maalik’ gets a new release date

Actor Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming gangster movie “Maalik” has a new release date of July 11.

The action thriller film, directed by Pulkit, was earlier scheduled for release in cinema halls on June 20. It is produced by Kumar Taurani under the Tips Films banner and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films.

“Raub, Rutba, aur RAJ hoga Maalik ka, 11 July se. Aa rahe hain #Maalik, 11 July se sirf cinemagharon mein,” Tips Films posted on Instagram.

Known for his nuanced performances, the actor is now stepping into the shoes of a ruthless gangster with this much-awaited action entertainer.

In a post on Instagram, Rao shared a poster and announced the new release date of the film. The poster featured him in his gangster avatar, where he is seen standing on top of a vehicle with a gun in his hand, with an intense expression.

Currently, in post-production, the upcoming film promises an adrenaline-fueled story with stunning cinematography and gritty action. It will star Huma Qureshi and Medha Shankr, among others.

Rajkummar Rao is currently awaiting the release of his romantic comedy, Bhool Chuk Maaf, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, it will hit theatres on May 9.

Rao was last seen in the comedy film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa.
