Kohima: The highly-anticipated ‘Ticket to Hornbill’, India’s Biggest Band Battle 2024, is all set to kickstart on October 18 at the RCEMPA grounds, Jotsoma in Nagaland‘s Kohima.

Shreyas Group’s ‘Ticket to Hornbill’ serves as a prelude to the 25th edition of the renowned Hornbill Music Festival.

According to Theja Meru, chairman of Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), the live performance rounds of the Ticket to Hornbill will take place on October 18 and 19. A total of 30 shortlisted bands will compete, with seven making it to the grand finale on October 21.

The live performance rounds will be judged by Arpito Gope, Moanungsang, and Viveick Rajagopalan, while the jury for the grand finale will include Subir Malik, Sonam Kalra, Arpito Gope, Suraj Mani, and Moanungsang.

The ‘Ticket to Hornbill’ offers a substantial prize pool of Rs 4 million, with the first prize being a whopping Rs 2 million, followed by Rs. 1 million for the second and Rs 5 lakh for the third.

Additionally, individual prizes will include musical equipment worth Rs 5 lakh.

Coca-Cola and Sennheiser have been roped in as the official beverage and audio partners, respectively.

The live rounds on October 18 and 19 will commence at 12 noon daily, and entry is free. However, for the grand finale on October 21, a nominal entry fee of Rs 50 per ticket will be charged, which can be purchased at the venue.

Except for official vehicles with passes, all other vehicles must be parked at the Kohima Science College ground. For vehicle security and traffic regulation, the organizers have outsourced this task to the Phezhu Youth Organisation Jotsoma.

A service charge of Rs 20 will be applied per vehicle. No food items, alcohol, weapons, sharp objects, knives, sticks, rods, or laser lights will be allowed into the concert venue on any day.
