Iconic American rock band ‘Linkin Park’ has officially announced that it will be a part of the Lollapalooza India 2026 music festival, marking their long-awaited debut show in the country.
The India debut is part of Linkin Park’s ‘From Zero World Tour’, which has spanned more than a year now after the release of their album.
The band, known for genre-defining hits such as “In the End”, “Numb” and “Crawling”, will take the stage in Mumbai at the festival, which will run on January 24 and 25, making a historic concert debut that fans have waited for years.
The band released a newsletter to announce their concert, and LP co-founder Mike Shinoda wrote, “India has been somewhere we’ve wanted to play for a long time. Our fans there are incredibly passionate, and we can’t wait to finally bring our live show to them.”
The tickets for the music festival went live on BookMyShow at 11 am on August 26 for RuPay credit card holders and at 12 pm on August 28. The ticket sales resumed at 9:30 am on August 29 on BookMyShow.
The band gained global fame in the 2000s for its genre-blending style of nu-metal and alternative rock. After the death of its lead singer, Chester Bennington, in 2017, the band went on a seven-year hiatus.
They eventually made a comeback in September 2024, unveiling co-lead singer Emily Armstrong, drummer Colin Brittain and live guitarist Alex Federer. Soon after, Linkin Park released their comeback album From Zero.
