British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is poised to make history in January 2025 by becoming the first international artist ever to perform in Bhutan, a significant milestone for the country’s music scene. The global superstar, renowned for hits like Shape of You and Perfect, will take the stage on January 24 at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, the capital of the picturesque Himalayan kingdom.

This performance is part of Sheeran’s much-anticipated Mathematics Tour, which he announced earlier this month. The tour, which kicked off in 2022, has already dazzled audiences around the world with over 134 electrifying performances to date. The upcoming shows will not only include his debut in Bhutan, but will also see Sheeran performing across India and the Middle East until May 2025, marking the final leg of his Mathematics era.

Organizers shared their excitement, highlighting Sheeran’s incredible journey since launching the Mathematics Tour in Dublin, which has captivated millions of fans globally. “At 33, Sheeran continues to be a force in the global music industry, and this upcoming run of shows, including his performances in Europe, represents the grand finale of an era that has shaped his career,” they said.

In addition to Bhutan, the Mathematics Tour will take Sheeran to six cities in India, including Shillong, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Delhi.

Fans eager to see the British sensation live can purchase tickets starting at $10, available through TiXbt.

This historic concert in Bhutan is being promoted by Gelephu Mindfulness City, AEG Presents, and in collaboration with One Fiinix Live. For the tiny Himalayan nation, Sheeran’s performance is a milestone that underscores Bhutan’s growing cultural prominence and marks a new chapter in its engagement with international music and entertainment.
