Guwahati: Danish soft rock and pop rock band Michael Learns To Rock is all set to mesmerize music-loving people of northeast India beginning November 25.

Popularly known as MLTR, the rock band, part of its “Back on the road tour,” will begin the Northeast India tour on November 25 with a performance at Aizawl.

The Danish band will perform in six Indian cities, and four venues are in Northeast India.

Sunny Shimrah, director of 7 Sisters Foundation, the organizer of the MLTR tour to Northeast India, said MLTR trio Jascha Richter, Mikkel Lentz, and Käre Wanscher will play a pro-active role to rejuvenate the post-COVID music scene in the region.

MLTR will perform in Guwahati on November 27. The Danish band will perform at Imphal on November 29, and at Tura on December 1.

Tickets will be available from the first week of November, and will be exclusively available online at www.7sistersfoundation.org.

MLTR is extremely popular among the music-lovers in Northeast India, and had first performed in 2005 in Shillong. Subsequently, in 2015, MLTR had performed in Guwahati.

Born in 1988, MLTR began its international debut in September 1991, and has sold more than 12 million legal physical albums across the globe.

Music lovers in Garo hills district of Tura are also excited with the MLTR tour as Denmark’s biggest pop-rock band will be performing at the Me’gong Festival on December 1 at Baljek Airport near Tura.
