Actor Amitabh Bachchan was discharged from Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in suburban Mumbai on Friday evening following an angioplasty and currently, he is recovering at his Juhu bungalow in Mumbai.
Contrary to initial reports, emerging information suggests that the procedure was not performed on his heart but on a clot in his leg.
Reports indicate that Bachchan underwent angioplasty on his veins to alleviate circulation issues caused by age and fat deposits, providing relief from leg pain.
Taking to social media after the surgery, Bachchan expressed his gratitude, indicating that the operation had been successful and he was safe and in good spirits.
The recent health scare adds to a series of medical challenges Bachchan has faced in recent months.
Earlier, he suffered injuries to his rib cage and rib cartilage while shooting for Kalki 2898 AD in Hyderabad.
Following the incident, he was flown back to Mumbai and rested at home in Juhu, where he updated fans on his condition.
Despite the setbacks, Bachchan remains committed to his work, having signed on for a new project alongside long-time friend Rajinikanth, directed by T Gnanavel.
