New Delhi: The iconic 1994 comedy Andaz Apna Apna, starring Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, has made a triumphant return to theatres, collecting Rs. 1.2 crore at the domestic box office over its opening weekend.
Re-released on April 25, the film also stars Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal, and Shakti Kapoor, and has been met with an overwhelming response from fans.
Devang Sampat, Managing Director of Cinepolis India, noted the enthusiasm in a statement: “People have turned the screenings into an event—they’re reciting iconic dialogues with the actors and singing along to the songs. The energy is infectious.”
Buoyed by Friday’s strong turnout, exhibitors increased the number of shows on Saturday.
The film earned Rs. 25.75 lakh on day one, Rs. 45.50 lakh on day two, and Rs. 51.25 lakh on day three, according to figures shared by distributors.
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and presented by Vinay Pictures, Andaz Apna Apna follows Amar and Prem—played by Aamir and Salman—two lovable slackers who compete to win the heart of a wealthy heiress, Raveena, in hopes of securing her father’s fortune.

Though it underperformed at the box office during its original run, the film has since achieved cult status.
Its witty one-liners—like “Teja main hoon, mark idhar hai”, “Crime Master Gogo, Mogambo ka bhatija”, and “Do dost ek cup mein chai piyenge”—have become viral favourites in the meme age, helping cement its legacy with new generations of fans.
