Actor Abhishek Bachchan is set to surprise fans with a new avatar in his upcoming film ‘Kaalidhar Laapata’.
The trailer was unveiled on Saturday, ahead of its ZEE5 premiere on July 4.
On June 19, the makers shared the poster of the film on social media. In the poster, Abhishek Bachchan and a child are seen sitting on a tree branch.
Sharing this post, the makers wrote, “Full stop to discussions now! Sometimes, getting lost is not a detour, but this is where the real story begins. Full of dreams, twists and people who make it worthwhile. Kalidhar Lapata premieres on July 4, only on #ZEE5”.
Directed by Madhumitha and backed by Zee Studios, ‘Kaalidhar Lapata’ stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role, along with Daivik Bhagela and Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles.
The story follows Kaalidhar, a man in search of meaning and joy, portrayed by Abhishek.
Kaalidhar decides to run away after learning about his family’s intention to abandon him. As he struggles with his sense of purpose and loneliness, his path unexpectedly crosses with Ballu, played by Daivik Baghela, a vivacious eight-year-old orphan full of enthusiasm and curiosity.
With infectious energy and childlike wisdom, Ballu helps Kaalidhar rediscover the beauty of life – teaching him that every relationship has its time, and happiness lies in embracing the present.
Their chance meeting turns into an extraordinary friendship as they embark on an unplanned road trip, fulfilling a whimsical bucket list and finding joy in life’s simple moments.
As the journey progresses, the two form a bond that transcends age and background, highlighting the importance of human connections and hope found in unexpected places.

Abhishek shared the trailer on his X handle and said, “Kabhi kabhi life mein second chances lene padte hai, and that’s when the most unexpected experiences and bonds are born.” He also called the film a soul-stirring slice-of-life film.”
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan was recently seen in the film ‘Housefull 5’.
