Guwahati: Reliance Jio strengthened its lead in the Northeast telecom circle in July with a net addition of 35,763 mobile subscribers, according to the latest report from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Jio’s mobile user base in the region, which includes Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura, rose from 43.61 lakh in June to 43.97 lakh in July, maintaining steady growth.
The report also highlighted Jio’s growing presence in the home internet segment.
The company now serves over 2.27 lakh JioFiber subscribers and 69,391 users on its 5G-powered JioAirFiber service across the region.

The increase in mobile and broadband connections underscores the rising demand for high-speed internet and Jio’s role in improving digital access in the Northeast.
