NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to distribute over 71,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals in various central government departments on Monday through videoconferencing, according to his office.
The Rozgar Mela initiative reflects the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritising employment generation, as highlighted in a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The distribution event will take place at 10:30 am, where Modi will address the appointees and the nation via videoconference, the PMO said.

Spanning 45 locations across the country, the Rozgar Mela will facilitate recruitments for multiple central government ministries and departments.
These include key sectors such as the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Department of Higher Education, among others.
The recruits, selected from diverse regions of the country, will officially begin their roles in these various ministries and departments under the central government, marking a significant step in fulfilling the nation’s employment goals.
