Guwahati: Reliance Jio is making consistent strides in boosting digital connectivity across Northeast India.
According to the latest Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) report, Reliance Jio now serves 4.3 million mobile subscribers in the Northeast telecom circle as of March 31, 2025.
This steady growth highlights Jio’s continued efforts to improve connectivity and expand access to digital services across the region.
The NE circle includes Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.
Navigating the Northeast’s diverse and often challenging terrain, Jio has actively worked to strengthen its mobile network in both urban centres and remote areas across the eight Northeastern states.
With a focus on affordability and reliability, Jio’s services have brought more people online. This has empowered students to attend virtual classes, enabled small business owners to use digital payments, and helped families stay connected with loved ones.
Beyond mobile services, the company has also introduced JioFiber and JioAirFiber in select areas, supporting the growing need for high-speed internet at home.
These services are helping residents access online learning, remote work opportunities, and digital entertainment.
While challenges persist, Jio’s consistent growth signifies a positive shift toward greater digital inclusion in the region.
