Guwahati: Reliance Jio has expanded its dominance in the North East telecom circle, connecting over 3 lakh homes through its wireline and fixed-wireless broadband services, including 5G and UBR.
The milestone underscores growing digital adoption and customer trust across the region.
According to the latest Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) report for September 2025, Jio continues to lead in the North East with 2,29,709 wireline subscribers, 76,636 fixed-wireless (5G) connections, and 8,623 UBR users — collectively powering more than 3 lakh homes.

The North East telecom circle covers Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura.
Through the ongoing expansion of its fibre and 5G-based broadband network, Jio is enhancing digital access in urban as well as remote areas — improving communication, online education, entertainment, and remote working opportunities.
At the national level, Reliance Jio remains India’s largest telecom operator across both wireless and wireline segments, reinforcing its position as the country’s most preferred digital service provider.
