Reliance Jio has maintained its strong growth trajectory the North East telecom circle, adding over 80,000 new subscribers in December 2025, as per the latest data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
With this inclusion, Jio’s total subscriber base in the region has now crossed 45 lakh.
Jio continues to narrow the gap with its closest competitor in the North East telecom circle, reflecting rising customer preference for Jio’s strong network quality, competitive tariffs, and digital services ecosystem.
The telecom operator’s growth has been supported by ongoing investments in strengthening network infrastructure and capacity expansion across both urban centres as well as rural and remote locations.
These efforts aim to ensure improved voice clarity and reliable high-speed data connectivity across the region.

In the wire line broadband segment, Jio has built a strong presence with over 3 lakh connected homes through JioFiber and JioAirFiber in the North East telecom circle.
The expanding footprint is facilitating high-speed broadband adoption, digital entertainment, smart home usage, and connectivity needs of small businesses.
As part of broader digital initiatives, Jio recently conducted a large-scale Google Gemini Pro AI outreach programme across multiple states in the North East telecom circle, covering colleges and educational institutions.
The initiative introduced students to real-world applications of artificial intelligence, digital tools, and future-ready skills, helping nurture digital literacy and innovation among the youth.
Jio has reiterated its commitment to expanding digital access and supporting inclusive digital growth across the North East telecom circle.
