GUWAHATI: Snowman Logistics, a leading player in the cold chain logistics sector, has commenced operations at its newly leased multi-temperature-controlled warehouse in Guwahati.
The warehouse, boasting a total capacity of 5,152 pallets, is equipped with eight chambers and four loading bays and is specifically designed to cater to a diverse range of products, from ambient temperatures to a chilly, minus 25 degrees Celsius.
Sunil Nair, the CEO of the company, expressed pride in the inauguration, stating to the press that the establishment marks the company’s initial venture into a fully leased cold storage facility, aligning with a strategic move towards becoming asset-light.
The primary focus of the Guwahati warehouse will be to provide comprehensive storage, handling, and transportation services for an array of products, including ice cream, poultry, ready-to-eat food, dairy products, confectionery, bakery products, seafood, fruits, and vegetables.
Additionally, the facility will handle pharmaceuticals, specialised chemicals, and various commodities.
Snowman Logistics, with this expansion, has significantly increased its overall pallet capacity to an impressive 1,41,000+, strategically distributed across 20 cities.
This move solidifies the company’s foothold in the Northeast, showcasing its prowess in addressing the dynamic needs of diverse industries.
Nair stressed on Snowman Logistics’ extensive expertise in the storage, handling, and transportation of various products, spanning the food, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and specialised chemicals sectors.
