Guwahati: Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has re-invited bids for setting up and operating a green hydrogen generation unit (GHGU) at its refinery in Numaligarh, Assam.
The project will be executed on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis, with the selected developer responsible for supplying gaseous green hydrogen (GGH) to the refinery.
The re-tendering process was initiated due to changes in the bill of quantities (BOQ) and various terms and conditions from the original tender floated on August 16, 2024.
The selected developer will handle the complete project lifecycle, including design and detailed engineering, construction of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems and testing, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of the GHGU and all supporting utilities.
The GHGU will have an installed capacity of 10,000 tons per annum. The successful bidder must enter into a Green Hydrogen Purchase Agreement (GHPA) with NRL to ensure a consistent supply of GGH for 25 years.
