GUWAHATI: The Alliance of Digital India Foundation (ADIF) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost entrepreneurship and support technology startups in the Northeast.

The partnership aims to strengthen the startup scene in the region by connecting ADIF’s network with IIT Guwahati’s innovators, faculty, and facilities.

Under the agreement, ADIF will offer membership to IIT’s Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) startups, providing them access to discounted services, resources, and mentoring through ADIF’s startup toolkit.

In return, TIC will support ADIF members with mentoring, market connections, networking events, and more.

Both parties will collaborate on startup courses, workshops, and research initiatives involving students, faculty, and entrepreneurs.

ADIF will also promote TIC’s events to boost visibility.

“We are excited to partner with the prestigious IIT Guwahati, Technology Incubation Centre to empower early-stage startups through our combined resources and networks. This collaboration underscores our shared vision of catalysing India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem,” says Prateek Jain, Associate Director at ADIF, as reported by a national news agency.

Echoing similar sentiments, Prof. G. Krishnamoorthy, President, IITG, TIC says that the collaboration will help to create a more conducive environment for the brightest minds in the Northeast to transform their innovations into successful businesses.

“We look forward to nurturing entrepreneurship through this synergistic partnership,” he says.

This collaboration aims to provide startups with essential support in areas like policy advocacy, technology solutions, mentoring, and funding opportunities, enabling their growth and success in the startup ecosystem.
