In preparation for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, a re-imagined version of the National Youth Festival for 2025, Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya held a hybrid meeting with the heads of higher educational institutions across the state. The meeting took place at Raj Bhavan, Guwahati, on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the Governor briefed the institutional leaders about the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, urging them to ensure maximum student participation. He also reviewed the progress of preparations for the event.
A key highlight of the event, according to the Governor, is the Viksit Bharat Challenge, which provides students an opportunity to showcase their knowledge about India’s growth across various fields. The Governor encouraged the heads of institutions to motivate their students to register for the challenge via the MY Bharat Portal (mybharat.gov.in). The challenge will include activities such as a quiz, essay writing, and the development of a vision deck.
Acharya emphasised the important role that educational institutions play in shaping future leaders and making the event a success. He urged the heads of institutions to inspire students to register on the portal and explore the wide range of opportunities available through it. Additionally, he called on them to organize awareness campaigns, workshops, and orientation sessions to highlight the significance of the dialogue and its benefits.
The Governor also announced that institutions with the highest registration and participation rates will be recognized and awarded at a special ceremony at Raj Bhavan.
