GUWAHATI: In a vibrant celebration of Assamese tradition, the down town School in Guwahati illuminated with the joyous spirit of Magh Bihu, the harvest festival, during a pre-festival event on January 13.
The school’s campus was filled with the infectious energy of students as they mesmerised the audience with graceful and energetic Bihu dance performances.

Adding to the evening’s energy was a captivating fusion dance performed by students from Class III to XII, showcasing their diverse talent and creative spirit.

The proceeds from the school’s recent art exhibition, presented in the form of a cheque, was offered to an NGO Sahayika for supporting their noble endeavours.
Sahayika, known for its efforts in uplifting children with special needs, received this contribution with gratitude.
Ipshita Sharma, Secretary of the NGO, graced the occasion and delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the power of collective effort to ring about a positive change in the community.
The event concluded with a charming Grade I student delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all contributors and participants.
The culmination featured a powerful rendition of the state anthem, as everyone stood together, their voices resounding in unison.
