The deceased leader’s wife, while mourning the loss, expressed deep anguish over the lack of concrete information from the ULFA-I camp regarding Major Golap Axom’s death.
Earlier on November 23, security forces had apprehended one Achyutanand Neog, alias Niloy Asom, an active cadre of ULFA-I, believed to be the mastermind behind a recent grenade attack near an Army camp in Tinsukia on the night of November 22.
