The Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation (DMC) has issued a notice announcing that all roadside markets will be temporarily closed on February 14, 2026, in view of the major inaugural event scheduled in the district.
An office order dated February 11, 2026, stated that the decision has been taken in view of the inauguration programme of the “First Ever IAF Emergency Landing Facility of North East India,” scheduled to be held on February 14 in Moran.
The Office of the Commissioner, Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation, stated that the temporary closure is aimed at avoiding traffic congestion and ensuring smooth movement of vehicles and the general public during the event.
