GUWAHATI: Celebrating World Wildlife Day with fervour and purpose, residents of Chandrasingh Rongpi Village and neighbouring communities near Kaziranga National Park came together for a special movie screening session under the open sky.
With the theme of “Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation”, the event aimed to raise awareness about wildlife conservation and the role of digital technology in protecting endangered species and their habitats.
At the Chandrasingh Rongpi Village playground, a crowd of 45 people gathered to watch conservation movies screened by Aaranyak, a biodiversity conservation organisation.
Residents from nearby villages joined in the event, engaging in discussions with experts from Aaranyak about wildlife conservation efforts.
The movies showcased the vital role of digital innovation in conservation endeavours, illustrating how technology can be leveraged to safeguard wildlife and preserve their natural habitats.
Beyond entertainment, these films served as educational tools, highlighting the importance of digital tools in the fight against wildlife endangerment.
