Sarma, who met the Prime Minister in New Delhi on Tuesday (November 4), said he extended a formal invitation to PM Modi to inaugurate the new terminal building of the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati and lay the foundation stone for the Rs 10,601 crore brownfield Ammonia-Urea complex at Namrup.
CM Sarma said, “Had the privilege to call upon Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji in New Delhi today. We have invited him to dedicate two major transformative projects to the people of Assam.”
The Chief Minister described the new LGBI Airport terminal as a “state-of-the-art project” that will transform Guwahati into a major aviation hub in the Northeast, capable of handling over 1.3 crore passengers annually.
