Guwahati: Peerless Hospital Guwahati on Tuesday said it is focusing on consolidation and expansion in 2026, with plans to strengthen clinical services, upgrade infrastructure and widen access to affordable healthcare across Assam and the Northeast.
At a press conference held at the hospital, the management reviewed the hospital’s performance over the past six months since it began operations in July 2025.
Officials said there has been a steady rise in patient footfall along with improvements in clinical outcomes and service delivery across departments.
Several patient cases were cited to highlight the hospital’s growing capacity to handle complex treatments through multidisciplinary care and timely medical intervention.
Chief Executive Officer Dr Gautam Kumar Das said the hospital aims to balance clinical excellence with affordability and accessibility.
He said expansion of services under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, investment in modern medical equipment and strengthening of the workforce are central to ensuring quality healthcare reaches a wider population in the region.
He also said the hospital is looking to attract skilled healthcare professionals who share its commitment to compassionate and affordable care.
Medical Superintendent and Director of the Emergency Department Dr Pranab Barua said patient outcomes have shown consistent improvement over the last six months, attributing this to teamwork, improved clinical protocols and faster decision-making.
He said the outcomes reflect the efforts of doctors, nurses and support staff.
Senior doctors at the hospital said it is now equipped to manage highly complex and life-threatening neurological conditions.
They pointed out that cases such as subarachnoid haemorrhage caused by ruptured blister aneurysms are being treated through advanced endovascular procedures, including flow diverter placement.
Such procedures, they said, require specialised infrastructure and high clinical expertise, underlining the hospital’s growing capabilities in neurological and interventional care.
The hospital said the coming year will see further strengthening of clinical capacity, with the induction of additional specialists, nursing staff and allied healthcare professionals.
It has also procured advanced medical equipment across key departments to improve diagnostic accuracy, treatment efficiency and patient safety, enabling it to handle more critical cases locally.

As part of its outreach efforts, the hospital has been conducting health camps in Guwahati focused on preventive screening and early diagnosis.
It is also running regular outstation OPD clinics in areas such as Howly, Nagaon, Barpeta, Mangaldoi and Shillong to bring specialist consultations closer to patients.
The hospital said it will continue to align its services with national and state healthcare priorities, with the aim of emerging as a trusted healthcare destination for the Northeast.
