Guwahati: NTPC Limited’s Bongaigaon unit has earned prestigious accolades for its contributions to healthcare promotion and environmental protection.
The state-run power giant received the 11th CSR India Award 2025 for healthcare promotion and the 24th Global Environment and Sustainability Award 2025 from the Greentech Foundation, a company statement announced on Sunday.
The CSR award highlights NTPC Bongaigaon’s initiatives in strengthening healthcare systems in Nagaland’s remote Tuensang district.
“Through its comprehensive healthcare project, the unit has supported health infrastructure development, provided essential medical equipment, and conducted outreach programs to improve access to primary and preventive healthcare for local communities,” the statement elaborated.
The Environment and Sustainability Award recognizes the unit’s exemplary efforts in sustainable operations and ecological conservation at its 750 MW power station.

NTPC Bongaigaon has implemented best practices in resource management and environmental protection, underlining its commitment to a sustainable future.
Both awards were conferred at ceremonies held in New Delhi earlier this month, underscoring NTPC Bongaigaon’s dual focus on social responsibility and sustainability.
