Guwahati: Northeast-based marketing agency Trident Brandcom has won the prestigious Foxglove Award for Best Branded Content (Regional) at the afaqs! Foxglove Awards for its acclaimed docu-series ITC Sunrise presents “Xipa Bisari”, created in association with Radio Gupshup. The series has been widely praised for bringing Assam’s rich culinary heritage to the national spotlight.
Organised by afaqs!, a leading authority in advertising, media and public relations, the Foxglove Awards recognise excellence in branded storytelling and are judged by an eminent industry jury.
Trident Brandcom’s win has generated significant attention within the industry, highlighting the agency’s ability to showcase regional culture through compelling narratives. Leveraging its deep understanding of local culture and consumer behaviour, the agency continues to help brands forge meaningful connections with diverse audiences.
“Xipa Bisari” is a 10-episode web series launched by ITC’s Sunrise Spices that celebrates Assam’s culinary traditions. The series features renowned chef Atul Lahkar travelling across villages and local markets in Assam to rediscover age-old recipes and traditional cooking techniques. It also spotlights local custodians of culinary knowledge, particularly elderly women, who have preserved these traditions through generations of storytelling and practice.

Trident Brandcom was represented at the awards by Rudrajeet Kumar Laskar and Rupak Dutta. The award ceremony was held on January 29 in Mumbai. The recognition underscores the growing national appreciation for impactful regional narratives from the Northeast.
