GUWAHATI: In a bid to fortify healthcare services in the state, the National Health Mission (NHM Assam) has issued a recruitment notification for 400 staff nurse positions.
The official announcement, accessible on the NHM Assam website (nhm.assam.gov.in), details that the last date of the application process concludes on December 22.
The NHM, encompassing the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and the recently inaugurated National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), is actively seeking applications from qualified individuals on a contractual basis.
The overarching mission aims to strengthen health systems in both rural and urban areas of the state, with a dedicated focus on Reproductive-Maternal-Neonatal-Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A).
Additionally, NHM is committed to tackling both communicable and non-communicable diseases, aligning with its vision of achieving universal access to equitable, affordable, and quality healthcare services that are responsive to people’s needs.
Eligibility criteria:
Candidates must hold a B.Sc. Nursing or GNM Course qualification from a recognised nursing school or institution accredited by the Indian Nursing Council. Moreover, they should be registered with the “Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ and Health Visitors’ Council”.
Age Limit:
As of April 1, 2023, the maximum age for candidates should not exceed 43 years.
Selection process:
The selection process will be based solely on the candidate’s performance in the interview. The schedule for interviews or selection tests, along with the list of provisionally shortlisted candidates, will be published on the official website assam.gov.in.
Remuneration:
Selected candidates for the NHM Assam Staff Nurse positions will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs 18,000.
