In order to manage the anticipated surge in travelers ahead of the Holi festival, the Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has announced the operation of 14 pairs of Holi Special trains, adding 128 additional trips across its network.
The initiative aims to ensure smooth and hassle-free travel during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
According to NF Railway officials, eleven pairs of special trains have been operational since February 2026. Three more pairs of special trains will operate on key routes connecting Tata Nagar-Katihar, Agartala-Guwahati and Kishanganj-Lalkuan, significantly enhancing connectivity within and beyond the Northeast.
