GUWAHATI: A Mumbai-based foundation has donated an ambulance for the welfare of ex-servicemen in Assam, on Tuesday.
Atharva Foundation, in a demonstration of its unwavering commitment to the welfare of martyred soldiers’ families, ex-servicemen, and armed forces personnel, hand over the key of an ambulance to Brigadier Dinesh Ch Mazumdar (Retd), Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Guwahati.
Chairman of the foundation and MLA Borivali, Sunil Rane, along with his team, visited Rajya Sainik Board (RSB) Guwahati and donated the ambulance in the presence of ex-servicemen and armed forces personnel.
Rane highlighted that the foundation had previously donated ambulances to Manipur, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh, underlining the organisation’s nationwide efforts to improve healthcare accessibility.
“Our ex-servicemen have shown immense courage and dedication while serving the nation. It is our responsibility to ensure they receive the care and support they deserve. Through the donation of ambulances, we aim to enhance their access to healthcare and make a positive difference in their lives,” he said, addressing the gathering.
Brigadier Mazumdar (Retd), in his address, expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the support provided by the foundation under the leadership of Rane.
The philanthropic initiative, aimed at enhancing healthcare access and emergency medical services, seeks to benefit the courageous individuals who have served in the armed forces and the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
During his visit, Rane also gifted five laptops to the daughters of martyred soldiers from Assam, furthering the foundation’s commitment to education and empowerment.
The foundation, known for its active involvement in various social causes including education and healthcare, has earned widespread recognition for its positive impact on society.
