GUWAHATI: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Narangi is set to host a grand Alumni Meet on January 27 and 28, attracting over a hundred esteemed former students eager to reconnect with their alma mater.
The two-day event will commence with all participating alumni attending the morning assembly on January 27.
During this assembly, ex-teachers of the school will be felicitated, and a magnificent idol of Goddess Saraswati will be unveiled, creating a symbolic link to the educational ethos of the institution.
Additionally, a series of friendly games, including tug of war, musical chairs, football, and more, will take place, featuring participation from alumni, ex-teachers, and current teachers.
Mahesh Pradhan, President of the school’s Alumni Association, anticipates that this event will become one of the largest alumni meets, fostering an atmosphere of nostalgia and camaraderie.
To facilitate interaction and guidance for the present students, an informative session is scheduled, focusing on career guidance for higher studies and placements.
The day’s events will culminate with a shared lunch for teachers and alumni.
Later in the day, a banquet is scheduled with the families of alumni, promising a delightful evening filled with shared memories.
The reunion will extend into the following day, January 28, with a planned picnic for the families of alumni.
This additional event aims to cherish the spirit of togetherness and create lasting memories in this nostalgic reunion.
Dr Rituparna Phukan Ray, the General Secretary of the Alumni Association, highlighted the significance of the Alumni Meet, stressing that it is being organised after a hiatus of 12 years.
The objective is to provide a platform for alumni to reconnect and rekindle old memories.
The organisers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the event’s grand success.
