The meeting was attended by key officials, including District Development Commissioner Parijat Bhuyan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kankan Sarmah, ADC (Revenue), representatives from HQ 51 Sub Area, Circle Officers, Block Development Officers, and other stakeholders, including serving and retired defense personnel.

The session began with a welcome address by Col Padmalochan Barman (Retd), Welfare Officer, Kamrup (M), who outlined the objectives of the Sainik Bandhu platform and emphasized the need for timely grievance redressal.

He also thanked the district administration for its consistent support of the veteran community.

Discussions focused on critical issues such as providing accommodations for the ESM Association offices, issuing Permanent Residence Certificates (PRC), allotting office space for the Zila Sainik Welfare Office (ZSWO) in the new D.C.’s complex at Rupnagar, and resolving grievances faced by the Ex-Servicemen community.

The District Commissioner assured attendees that land settlement and encroachment cases involving Ex-Servicemen would be addressed as a priority.
