Guwahati: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has conferred the prestigious Best Police Station Certificate on Digboi Police Station in Assam’s Tinsukia district, recognizing its exceptional service and efficiency in maintaining law and order.
According to an official notification (DGP-GEN011/2/2024-GEN-DGP-APHQ-Assam) issued by the Assam Police Headquarters in Guwahati, the recognition was formally announced as part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
The certificate will be presented to Divya Jyoti Dutta, Officer-in-Charge of Digboi Police Station, by the Director General of Police, Assam, in a ceremonial function scheduled for August 26 in the Conference Hall of Assam Police Headquarters, Ulubari, Guwahati.
The certificate acknowledges the station’s exemplary commitment to public service, discipline, and effective policing, establishing it as a model for other stations throughout the state.
The officials noted that the recognition highlights the dedication and hard work of the Digboi Police personnel, whose efforts have consistently earned public trust and greatly contributed to maintaining law and order in the region.
This recognition is expected to inspire other police stations in Assam to embrace similar standards of efficiency, transparency, and community-oriented policing.

SP Tinsukia, Gaurav Abhijit Dilip, stated that the award not only acknowledges the efforts of Digboi Police Station but also sets a benchmark for other police stations across the state to emulate.
