GUWAHATI: In a jubilant tribute to the musical brilliance of composer RD Burman and the vibrant cultural tapestry of Assam, an enchanting evening of melodies is poised to captivate the audiophiles of Guwahati on January 27.
Titled “Pancham Smaran 2024”, this musical homage seeks to honour the enduring legacy of the legendary composer, affectionately known as Pancham Da.
Aligned with his 29th death anniversary on January 4, the event promises to be a soul-stirring commemoration of the maestro’s contributions to the world of music.
Scheduled to take place at Karma Shree Hiteshwar Saikia Auditorium in Maligaon on January 27, the evening will feature a slew of Assam’s seasoned and upcoming musical talents.
Organised by North East R D Burman Fan Club, the event will not only celebrate the everlasting legacy of Pancham Da but also extend heartfelt gratitude to Assam’s musical icon and the founder president of the club, late Bhupen Uzir.
Eminent personalities of the Assam music industry – Pulak Bannerjee, Manisha Hazarika, and Manjula Hazarika – will grace the occasion as the chief guests.
