Guwahati: Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Assam, has secured accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its B.Tech programmes in Computer Science Engineering and Civil Engineering, marking a key milestone in the institution’s academic journey.
According to a statement issued by the university, the accreditation will be valid for three years, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028.
The recognition places the two engineering programmes in line with national quality benchmarks set for technical education.
University officials said the NBA accreditation reflects the institution’s academic rigour, infrastructure and faculty standards.
As the NBA is recognised under the Washington Accord, the accreditation is expected to enhance global recognition, mobility and employability prospects for graduates of the accredited programmes.
