Guwahati: Gauhati University unveiled its official podcast, Chai, Chatters and Chapters, on Wednesday, aiming to showcase the institution’s rich academic heritage, cultural vibrancy, and groundbreaking research to a global audience.

The inaugural episode, featuring Vice Chancellor Nani Gopal Mahanta, is available on the university’s Facebook and YouTube platforms.

“This podcast is a platform to celebrate and share the remarkable legacy of Gauhati University,” Mahanta said.

“Through meaningful conversations, we aim to highlight our academic endeavours, cultural traditions, and the vibrant contributions of our students and faculty.”

Mahanta, who participated in the first episode, invited the university community to join in exploring stories that define its achievements.

He emphasised the podcast’s role in expanding the university’s outreach, offering a fresh perspective on its academic and cultural ethos.

A university spokesperson highlighted that the series will delve into cutting-edge research, from advancements in nuclear physics to interdisciplinary studies, while also celebrating the experiences and achievements of its diverse community.

The podcast aims to serve as a knowledge hub, fostering discussions across various disciplines—from sociology and science to psychology and internships—positioning itself as an essential resource for the global academic audience.

In addition to academic themes, the episodes will feature student-led initiatives from cultural and sports clubs, the National Cadet Corps (NCC), and National Service Scheme (NSS).

These stories will underscore the dynamic student spirit driving societal development.
