Guwahati: Senior Under Officer (SUO) Pratik Paul, a former cadet of 1 Assam Battalion NCC under Guwahati Group, has earned a place in the Indian Army through the Short Service Commission (NCC) Special Entry Scheme (Men) – 58.
He will join the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai as part of the October 2025 batch, officials said.
Paul, a B.Com graduate from KC Das Commerce College, has been an accomplished cadet during his NCC tenure, bringing laurels to the battalion and the North Eastern Region (NER) NCC Directorate.

Among his notable achievements, he represented the Directorate at the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2024 in New Delhi.
With his selection, Paul is set to begin his journey toward becoming an officer in the Indian Army.
The 1 Assam Battalion NCC expressed pride in his achievement, calling it an inspiration for other young cadets aspiring to serve the nation.
