Guwahati: The vibrant four-day cultural extravaganza, ‘EUPHUISM 2025’, hosted by Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), culminated on March 8 with a spellbinding performance by renowned Bollywood singer Asees Kaur.

Known for her soulful voice and chart-topping hits, Kaur delivered a high-energy performance that brought the festival to a memorable close.

The annual event, themed “Retro Rewind”, featured a dynamic mix of music, dance, drama, and technical competitions, drawing thousands of students and visitors.

Key highlights included debates, elocution, folk dances, and cutting-edge contests like Robo Soccer, Circuitronics, Gameathon, and the GCU Hackathon.

Among the standout moments was a thrilling performance by DJ Tony on March 7, who set the stage ablaze with a mix of classic and contemporary chartbusters.

The festival’s diverse lineup included competitions like Mr. and Miss GCU, Battle of Bands, Folk Dance, Folk Orchestra, Photography, Drama, and Skit.

The audience was captivated by a special Bhaona performance by GCU students, paying homage to the revered Assamese saint Shrimanta Shankardev.

‘EUPHUISM 2025’ also featured nearly 25 formal events and distributed prizes worth Rs. 2.5 lakh.

The event was supported by prominent sponsors such as Coca-Cola (title sponsor), ITC, GPlus, 92.7 Big FM, Pratidin Time, and Raahi Group of Companies, among others.
