Guwahati: Flight operations at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in Guwahati, Assam, were disrupted on Thursday morning due to heavy fog, affecting 18 flights.
A spokesperson for the Adani Group-managed airport confirmed the inclement weather, which led to delays in both arrivals and departures.
The spokesperson stated, “Due to the dense fog, 18 flights have been delayed so far,” but did not provide specific details on the affected flights.
To assist passengers, LGBIA staff were stationed throughout the terminal, offering support and guidance.
The airport also made additional provisions for passenger comfort, including extra seating and water, to ensure their well-being during the disruptions.
