Barpeta (Assam): A Cybersecurity Capacity Building Programme for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) was held at the District Industries and Commerce Centre in Barpeta, aiming to bolster the digital resilience of local businesses.
The workshop was inaugurated by Additional District Commissioner Jayanta Bora, ACS, in the presence of officials including the General Manager in charge of the District Industries & Commerce Centre, Barpeta, the Lead District Manager of UCO Bank, and the Superintendent of Taxes.
The program sought to empower MSMEs with critical cybersecurity knowledge, promoting awareness and the adoption of secure practices in the digital domain.
Attendees included existing business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and women participants from Barpeta and surrounding areas.
The event featured engaging presentations and real-time experience sharing by Subham Ghosh and Pratyush Banerjee, Programme Associates from CUTS International.
Their interactive sessions addressed the challenges faced by MSMEs and provided practical cybersecurity insights to nearly 80 participants.
The initiative was well-received, with attendees expressing enthusiasm about applying their newfound knowledge to enhance their businesses.
Many participants indicated interest in launching new ventures or expanding existing operations, marking the event as a catalyst for entrepreneurial growth in the region.
