Guwahati: The CID has arrested six people in connection with a fake appointment letter scam in Assam’s Water Resources Department, officials said on Sunday.

According to investigators, a complaint filed in February by the Chief Engineer’s office alleged that forged appointment letters bearing fake signatures were being circulated to various divisions of the department.
