Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday announced that the Centre has formally invoked the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) with Singapore to facilitate investigation into the death of singer Zubeen Garg.
The Assam government had written to the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday, requesting invocation of the treaty in connection with the FIR lodged by state police.
