Guwahati: A yoga academic book titled ‘Basics of Anatomy and Physiology with Common Diseases’ by Yogavid Prafulla Barman was released on Wednesday at Guwahati Press Club.
Organised by the Indian Yoga Culture and Yoga Therapy Centre (IYC&YTC), Maligaon, Guwahati, the book was formally released by Naresh Kumar, Ex General Manager of UCO Bank.
‘Basics of Anatomy and Physiology with Common Diseases’ is the first book of it’s kind on yoga education in English that will be helpful for yoga basic courses and other Yoga academicians for easy learning of physical anatomy in connection with yoga therapy and yoga education.
The IYC&YTC is the associating partner organisation of Assam Government. The Assam Government is implementing a few ambitious plans these days.
These plans aim to make Assam an advanced State in the line of Andhra Pradesh, UP, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, et al. The vision and mission seem very good.
But ‘the Blue Hills and Red River’ needs the ‘healthy human resource’ in order to maintain the pace of socio-economic development in the State.
At the present juncture, ‘Yogic Science’ may immensely help the State. The reason is not far to seek.
Regular practice of Yoga can holistically boost every person from all sides. Only healthy and wealthy masses are the asset of an advanced nation. Perfect preparation and continuous practice of Yoga can protect the body, mind and soul of the common people.
In fact, there is a plethora of job opportunities and healthcare facilities through Yoga in the entire North-eastern region of India.
Mass employment generation of yoga teachers in all academic and non-academic institutions both by the government and private agencies may usher in a new era of hope, peace, prosperity, tranquility and, virtually, a congenial air in the NE region soon.
The book release ceremony was attended by Dr Sujit Bardhan, Register, Srimanta Shankardeva University of Health Science, Assam, Yogacharjya Subhashish, Founding-President of IYC & YTC, Dr. Shantanu Roy Chowdhury, Professor of Pandu College, Amar Krishna Paul, a noted writer and publisher of Guwahati and others.
