TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia Football Gold Cup 2023 tournament reached its crescendo on August 3. This year, Team Barekuri RSA won the cup and took home Rs 50,000 prize money.
This year, a total 16 teams from across districts had participated in the tournament and the final was played between the winner and Sanjib BSA. The team bagged Rs, 30,000 runner-up prize money.
It was field day for football enthusiasts in Tinsukia and a good 200 people cheered for the teams from the galleries.
Organised by Spear Corps Warriors, the seven-day tournament has been dedicatedly scouting for upcoming talents in Upper Assam and offering them a platform to shine. The tournament has paved the way for better interaction and social synergy between army and locals as well.
