Guwahati: Popular Assamese YouTuber Dimpu Baruah is making a significant leap into the world of Bollywood, securing a role in the upcoming film ‘Bihu Attack’.
The film, directed by Suzad Iqbal Khan, will see Baruah sharing screen space with seasoned Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan, Daisy Shah, Yukti Kapoor, and Assamese actress-model Aimee Misobbah from Guwahati.
‘Bihu Attack’, a project that has already generated considerable buzz, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 31, 2025.
Director Suzad Iqbal Khan is renowned for films like Monsoon, Madhubani, Deep in the Woods Death Warrant (web series), Surgical Strike and Ek Battey Do, to name a few.
Dimpu Baruah, the face behind the widely popular YouTube channels “Dimpu Baruah” and “Dimpu’s Vlogs”, will appear in a brief role in the film.
While his appearance is slated to be a brief cameo, lasting approximately one to two minutes, the news has ignited excitement among his devoted fanbase.
He is Assam’s most popular YouTuber and has the highest number of subscribers among individual Assamese creators.
The short role is still a major win for his fans, who are thrilled to witness his transition from digital screens to the big screen.
