Bengaluru: A young woman hailing from Assam was found brutally murdered in a service apartment in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar area. The prime suspect in this gruesome crime is her lover, Aarav Anay from Kannur, Kerala, who is currently absconding.
According to the police, the woman identified as Maya Gogoi, employed at a private firm, was allegedly stabbed to death by Aarav.
The incident took place at The Royal Livings, a service apartment where Aarav had been residing for three days. CCTV footage from the apartment complex captured Maya and Aarav arriving together on November 23.
A disturbing detail emerged from the investigation: Aarav reportedly remained in the apartment for an entire day after committing the heinous act. CCTV footage even shows him smoking a cigarette near Maya’s lifeless body, suggesting a chilling indifference to the gravity of his actions.
Investigators believe he may have considered dismembering the body but ultimately abandoned the plan.
On November 24, Aarav booked a cab and fled the scene. The police have launched a massive manhunt to apprehend him. Forensic teams have meticulously examined the crime scene, and the police are questioning staff and neighbors to gather crucial information.
While the exact motive for the murder remains unclear, authorities suspect that personal disputes may have escalated into this tragic incident. Maya, a promising young woman residing in HSR Layout, has become the victim of this horrifying crime. The police have assured the public that they are committed to bringing the accused to justice and providing closure to her grieving family.
