This year, Topcem Cement distributed 4,500 notebooks, 6,000 pens, 6,000 pencils, 6,000 erasers, and 6,000 sharpeners to representatives of 12 schools and childcare institutions, including Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan, Jalukbari; Children Home for Girls, Jalukbari; Seven Sisters Home, Lankeshwar; Observation Home for Children, Boko; UTSAH Education/Community Centre, Bamunimaidam; Kalyani Niwas; Children Home for Girls, Rupnagar; Ashaneer Home, Rupnagar; Kasturi Children Care Home, Six Mile; Sneha Bandhan, Jayanagar; Children Home for Boys, Fatashil; Jalukbari Higher Secondary School, Jalukbari; and Saarothi School for Children, Bijoynagar.

The 2025 edition of the programme will benefit more than 600 children, including those from economically disadvantaged households and special-abled backgrounds.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Anil Kapur, Sr. President, Meghalaya Cements Ltd., said: “Topcem is committed to contributing to the betterment of society. Education plays a pivotal role in shaping a child’s future, and by providing these essential items, we hope to support them in their academic journey and enable them to pursue their aspirations with confidence.”

Teachers and officials from the beneficiary institutions expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the timely support will not only enhance classroom learning but also ease the financial burden on families.

Launched in 2021, the Annual School Stationery Distribution Program has become a cornerstone of Topcem Cement’s social welfare initiatives. Over the past four years, the programme has benefitted more than 3,000 children across the region, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to empowering young learners through education.
