Guwahati: A 33-year-old woman from Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang district sustained severe injuries after allegedly jumping off a six-storey building in Guwahati, Assam on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at the Puhor Guest House in the city’s Kalapahar area.
The woman, identified as Pema Tsomu, is a resident of Mogo Village in Tawang.
According to reports, Thomu, who had accompanied her husband to the city for medical treatment, was staying at the Puhor Guest House when the incident occurred.
Alerted by a loud noise, locals rushed to the scene and immediately transported Tsomu to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for emergency medical care.

While the motive behind her actions remains unclear, initial investigations suggest a possible suicide attempt.
Guwahati Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
